The Hollywood Reporter says that Joshua Zetumer, who wrote the 2014 reboot of “RoboCop,” has been tapped to write the screenplay for “Boston Strong,” based on the book about the Boston Marathon bombing by Casey Sherman and Dave Wedge. Daniel Espinosa is still attached to direct.

Zetumer is also writing the screenplay for “Gambit,” a new “X-Men” film starring Channing Tatum. At one point Casey Affleck was set to star in “Boston Strong,” but in November he said he was no longer involved with the project.

Zetumer is repped by UTA, Management 360, and attorney Rob Szymanski.
