‘ParaNorman’ preems at the Globe Theater at Universal
The Globe Theater at Universal Studios played host to guests, including plenty of face- painted kids, at the Sunday afternoon preem of Focus Features and Laika’s “ParaNorman,” which pays homage to the classic zombie movies of the past.
Co-director Chris Butler came up with the idea nearly 16 years ago and made it a point to thank those responsible for the story’s humble beginnings prior to the screening at AMC CityWalk.
“I’d actually like to send a big thank-you to all the popular kids in school who made my life so miserable that it was possible to write this story in the first place,” said Butler. “You’re not making movies now, I am!”
Butler is repped by attorney Rob Szymanski.
