“American Heist” director Sarik Andreasyan is helming from a script by Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore. Willis will portray a man who confronts a retired Las Vegas mob enforcer forced to return to the city when his daughter goes missing.

Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing with Adam Goldworm via his Aperture Entertainment banner. Barry Brooker, Stan Wertlieb and Brandon Grimes will executive produce.

Producers are aiming to start shooting in October in New Orleans. The project was announced at the Toronto Film Festival.

The scripting team of Passmore and Fabrizio (represented by Paradigm, manager Adam Goldworm at Aperture and attorney Rob Szymanski) are writing “Ride” for Fox and rewriting “Nocturne” for that studio. Goldworm is in post-production on indie thriller “Dermaphoria.”

Emmett/Furla has credits on more than 70 films, mostly in the action and thriller genres. Recent releases include “2 Guns,” starring nMark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington, which has grossed $72 million since it opened Aug. 2.

Upcoming releases include “Escape Plan,” with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone; Peter Berg’s “Lone Survivor”; Martin Scorsese’s “Silence”; Baltasar Kormakur’s “Everest”; and “The Witch Hunter,” starring Vin Diesel.
