In addition to starring in the upcoming big-budget franchise player Terminator GenisysArnold Schwarzenegger continues to pursue his indie path.

The actor is attached to star in 478, a character drama written by Javier Gullon, THR has confirmed. The Spanish screenwriter previously wrote Enemy, the Denis Villeneuve-directed Jake Gyllenhaal.

The feature project doesn’t have a director but does have a high-profile producer: Darren Aronofsky, who will produce via his Protozoa Pictures label.

The logline centers on a man who loses his wife and daughter in a plane crash. The man blames the air traffic controller for the tragedy and seeks him out for revenge.

The project is not intended to be another straightforward action vehicle but to be more in line with his zombie drama, Maggie, in which he starred as a father dealing with his daughter’s transformation into a flesh-eater. But while that film had some genre trappings, sources say 478 aims to be more elevated and prestigious fare.

CAA is repping the domestic rights for the project.

CAA also reps Schwarzenegger and Gullon, who is new to the agency. Gullon is also repped by Peter Dealbert of Pacific View Management and Robert Szymanski of Eclipse Law Corporation.
