Given its box office success earlier this year, we knew it was only a matter of time before a sequel to Adam Robitel‘s Escape Room was ordered up, and Deadline reports tonight that Sony is indeed developing Escape Room 2, with Robitel returning to direct!
Plot details, at this time, are under wraps.
Escape Room follows six strangers who find themselves in a maze of deadly rooms and must use their wits to find the clues or die.
Bragi F. Schut will also return to write, with Neal H. Moritz producing. Escape Room pulled in $118.6 million worldwide on a $9m production budget.
