Creative Arts Emmy Awards Night 1: Blue Eye Samurai’ Wins Outstanding Animated Program

In animation, Netflix’s “Blue Eye Samurai” triumphed over “The Simpsons,” “Bob’s Burgers,” “Scavenger Reign” and “X-Men ‘97” to take home four awards including outstanding animated program. Co-creator Amber Noizumi noted the significance of the win: “You cannot have tomorrow’s franchises if you don’t bet on originals today.”
